Bird Shooting
2005
Hunting
season :
from the beginning of January to the end of
April. |
For more than ten years, we have organized
bird shooting in the eastern part of the country on the
edge of the Niokolo Koba National Park.
It is primary focused
on Francolin, Guinea Fowl, Pigeon, Dove, Sand Grouse
and Warthog.
This area of 60 000 hectares is located at 35
km from Kedougou.

Luxurious accommodation is
provided in Mako Camp with air-conditioned bungalows (private
shower and toilets). The camp has its own swimming pool, with
a nice bar and restaurant, from which you can enjoy the view
on the river, filled with Hippopotamus.

The price of the safari includes :
- Reception and assistance at Dakar,
- The transfer from Dakar to the hunting area (and back)
by car (8 hours),
- The organization of your safari with 4x4 vehicles, professional
hunters, trackers, porters, skinners,
- Full board and accommodation (double bungalow) in the
camp,
- Field preparation of trophies (warthogs).
The price of the safari
does not include :
- Any air fare or travel costs to Dakar,
- The transfer from Dakar to the hunting area (and back)
by air plane (1 hour) : 250 € per person,
- The accommodation in a single bungalow (150 € per
person),
- Trophy fees for warthog : 25 € per animal
- Hunting license and importation of fire arms (250 € per
hunter),
- Ammunitions (0,50 € per cartridge),
- Meals and overnight stays at hotels which might be necessary
outside the contracted time of your safari (around 150 € per
person),
- Insurances costs,
- Drinks, personal spending money and tips.
The limit bag for Francolin is 8 per day and per
hunter, and one warthog per week and per hunter (no
limit for Guinea Fowl, Pigeon, Dove, Sand Grouse).
Requirements needed
before the hunt :

Visa for Senegal,

Yellow fever vaccination
(International yellow fever card will be required to enter
the country),

Malaria prophylaxis,

Hunting permit (please complete
the hunting permit form and send it by mail to our office
in Paris at least 3 months prior to your departure),

Please inform us of your
exact flight details (Air France offers regular flights
from Paris to Dakar).
